Weekly UZEX Digest (May 11-May 17)
Over the past week, specifically from May 11 to May 17, a total of 44,575 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of JSC Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 6.3% lower compared to the previous week. Of these, 44.4% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 55.6% were conducted through e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 137.1 billion
During the reviewed period, 180 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 19,792 transactions were concluded through open exchange trading.
Cement
A total of 440,905.0 tons of cement were offered for exchange trading, of which 145,997.0 tons, or 33.1%, were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 36,499.0 tons.
During the reviewed period, the average daily price of cement decreased from UZS 649.7 thousand to UZS 644.0 thousand per ton. On average, 90 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
Wheat
Last week, 31,881.0 tons of wheat were sold through exchange trading. On average, 336 buyers participated in trading each day. The average daily sales volume amounted to 7,970.0 tons.
During the reviewed period, the average daily price of wheat decreased from UZS 2,972.2 thousand to UZS 2,932.4 thousand per ton.
Husk
During the past week, 2,886.0 tons of husk were sold through exchange trading. On average, 11 buyers participated in trading each day. The average daily sales volume amounted to 722.0 tons.
During the reviewed period, the average daily price of husk decreased from UZS 3,101.1 thousand to UZS 2,927.4 thousand per ton.
