Weekly UZEX Digest (June 1-June 7)
During the last week, from June 1 to June 7, a total of 50,726 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, representing a 112.3% increase compared to the previous week. Of the total transactions, 53.2% were executed through exchange trading, while the remaining 46.8% were conducted via e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement trading, total savings achieved by government and corporate customers amounted to UZS 144.6 billion.
During the reporting period, 127 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 26,971 transactions were concluded through open exchange trading.
Wheat
Last week, 28,105.0 tonnes of wheat were sold through exchange trading. An average of 295 buyers participated in trading each day, while the average daily sales volume amounted to 5,621.0 tonnes.
During the period under review, the average daily wheat price decreased from UZS 2,944.4 thousand to UZS 2,910.8 thousand per tonne.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Last week, 580.0 tonnes of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) were sold through exchange trading. An average of 5 buyers participated in trading each day, while the average daily sales volume amounted to 116.0 tonnes.
During the period under review, the average daily price of polyvinyl chloride decreased from UZS 11,399.8 thousand to UZS 11,181.3 thousand per tonne.
Ammonium Nitrate
During the past week, 42,780.0 tonnes of ammonium nitrate were sold through exchange trading. An average of 1,587 buyers participated in trading each day, while the average daily sales volume amounted to 8,556.0 tonnes.
During the period under review, the average daily price of ammonium nitrate decreased from UZS 3,505.0 thousand to UZS 3,402.7 thousand per tonne.
