Starting Price for Raw Cotton

In accordance with Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD–7 dated January 17, 2025, “On measures for the consistent continuation of applying market mechanisms in the production and sale of raw cotton,” it is stipulated that, starting from the 2025 cotton harvest, based on the average quotations of cotton fiber futures on the New York Stock Exchange over the past six months, an initial price (for first grade, second class) of raw cotton for the next year’s harvest shall be determined and published on the official website of the exchange.
 
According to paragraph 12 of the regulations on the procedure for the sale of raw cotton through exchange trading, approved by the Decree, based on the average quotations of cotton fiber futures on the New York Stock Exchange over the past six months, the initial price of 1 ton of raw cotton (first grade, second class) sold through exchange trading on the basis of a futures contract is set at 7,862,000 soums. PDF (300Kb)

Exchange trading of raw cotton shall be held from Monday to Friday during two trading sessions:

Morning Session – 09:00-12:40 
 
Afternoon Session – 14:00-17:40
