Weekly UZEX Digest ( August 25– August 31 )
Over the past week, from August 25 to 31, a total of 41,816 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange JSC, which is 3.3% higher compared to the previous week. Of these, 36.6% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 63.4% were conducted through e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic procurement auctions, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 140.3 billion.
During the reporting period, 3,460 vehicle license plates were sold through online auctions.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 15,304 transactions were concluded on the open exchange market.
Wheat
Last week, 89,981.0 tons of wheat were sold through exchange trading. On average, 155 buyers participated in daily trades, with an average daily trading volume of 17,996.0 tons.
During the period under review, the average daily price of wheat decreased from UZS 2,631.6 thousand to UZS 2,544.8 thousand per ton.
Cement
Throughout the week, 642,897.0 tons of cement were put up for sale, of which 340,430.0 tons, or 53.0%, were sold.
During the reporting period, the average daily price of cement decreased from UZS 641.1 thousand to UZS 612.9 thousand per ton. On average, 95 buyers participated in daily exchange trades.
Flour
A total of 4,007.0 tons of flour were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 801.0 tons, with around 77 buyers participating daily.
During the period under review, the average daily price of flour fell from UZS 4,393.9 thousand to UZS 3,510.1 thousand per ton.
