Weekly UZEX Digest ( August 18– August 24 )
During the period from August 18 to August 24, a total of 40,472 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange JSC, which is 3.3% less compared to the previous week. Of these, 36.8% were accounted for by exchange trades, while the remaining 63.2% were carried out through e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement trading, the total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 178.1 billion UZS.
Through online auctions, 3,495 vehicle license plates were sold during the reporting period.
Exchange Trading
A total of 14,897 transactions were concluded on the open exchange market.
Cathode Copper
During the past week, 2,190.0 tons of cathode copper were sold through exchange trading. On average, 12 buyers participated in the daily trades, with an average daily sales volume of 438.0 tons.
The average daily price of cathode copper decreased from 132,810.9 thousand UZS to 131,128.0 thousand UZS per ton.
Ammophos
Over the week, 7,336.0 tons of ammophos were put up for sale, of which 2,628.0 tons (or 35.8%) were sold.
The average daily price of ammophos decreased from 7,995.4 thousand UZS to 7,784.6 thousand UZS per ton. On average, 72 buyers participated in daily trades.
Oilseed Meal
Through exchange trading, 504.0 tons of oilseed meal were sold. The average daily trading volume reached 101.0 tons, with an average of 3 buyers participating daily.
The average daily price of oilseed meal fell from 4,514.7 thousand UZS to 4,200.0 thousand UZS per ton.
