Rebar-quotes-are-reducing
The rebar prices in the commodity market remain volatile in the current year, because of the dynamics of its supply and demand. If in January, the volume of put forward reinforcement brands СТ 12-35 ГС amounted to 460 tons, in March this figure first rose to 917 tons, then fell to an average of 728 tons. Against this background, the weighted average price of reinforcement during January-March fell from 2.8 million to 2.3 million soums per ton. In other words, the commodity market of rebar fell from its peak to a minimum for the current year.
At that, an upward trend could be observed in the market in the subsequent period. In particular, since April, the price of rebar began to rise, having reached in June 2.7 million soums per ton. According to traders and experts, a considerable growth of prices during this period is associated with the volume of offerings on the exchange, which relatively decreased. If, in April, the average monthly sales volume of rebar was 794 tons, in June it dropped to 683 tons.
For the last 3 months, the market has once again changed the price direction reversed. For July-September prices for rebar brand CT 12-35 ГС declined from 2.7 million to 2.6 million soums. This was caused by two factors of the market, including the growth of ferrous metals put forward for exchange trades, as well as the approach of the end of the construction season.
In general, about 32 thousand tons of ferrous metal were sold during the period under review that is 18% higher than last year. However, its share on the commodity market of ferrous metal decreased by 5% and amounted to 63%, due to increased sales of other kinds of ferrous metal. The price balance on the market, in turn, allowed trading participants to effectively organize their activities.
